If you have ever been involved in a financial case and wish to verify your status, the Dubai Police has introduced a new service that enables you to do so.
Suppose you want to check if you have a travel ban due to someone reporting you for defaulting on your credit card, or bank loan, or if someone has filed a case against you for owing them money and not settling it. The Dubai Police provides an online tool for you to verify this information.
Dubai Police Tools to Check Travel Ban or Criminal Case.
To perform the check, you will need to have your Emirates ID number readily available, regardless of whether you are traveling out of Dubai or into Dubai. It is important to settle any outstanding obligations and clear your name to avoid any unforeseen incidents that may occur at the immigration area in the airport.
Dubai Police Website Step by Step Guide
Let’s proceed and begin with the first step.
- To start, you will need to visit the Dubai Police website, which can be found at dubaipolice.gov.ae.
- Once you are on the website, navigate to the menu options and click on “Services”. This will redirect you to another page.
- From the list of services provided, select the option that says “Criminal Status of Financial Case”.
- This particular service allows individuals to inquire about any criminal cases or travel bans registered with the Dubai Police, specifically related to financial matters.
After selecting the service, you will be prompted to enter your Emirates ID. Make sure you have your Emirates ID or at least the Emirates ID number readily available. Enter the ID in the designated field and click on the capture icon to verify the security settings. Then, select the education icon as education and proceed by clicking on the “Search” button.
On the next page, you will be asked to confirm your mobile number. This is necessary as an activation code will be sent to your mobile number for additional security verification. Click on “Next” and wait for the text message from the Dubai Police, which will contain your activation code. Once you receive the code, enter it in the provided box and click on “Next”. This should lead you to another page displaying the results.
Final Result
If you do not have any financial cases or travel bans filed against you, the result will indicate “No criminal circulars in financial cases for Emirates ID number”. Fortunately, in my case, no cases were filed against me. That concludes the process of checking for financial cases and travel bans with the Dubai Police.
